There are 2 IRC servers, and DNS is set up to do round robin. This IRC bot checks for IP address changes. When an ip address change is dectected I can then manualy update the A record. As far as I know there is nothing else like this around. It's fairly simple, and you probably don't need/want it. It may be a good example for writing perl irc bots.
