Will Liero run on Windows XP?

Yes. Liero will run on Windows XP ONLY if it is tweaked to. See "How do I get Liero to run on Windows XP?"

How do I get Liero to run on Windows XP?

To run Liero on a Windows XP machine, follow the direction below. If you follow the direction as the are written this WILL work.

1. Find LIERO.EXE
2. Right click on LIERO.EXE, then choose 'Properties' from the pop-up menu
3. A window titled 'LIERO.EXE Properties' should pop up
4. By default the 'Genral' tab is slected.
5. Click the 'Program' tab
6. The 'Cmd line:' sould have something like "X:\folder\LIERO.EXE"
7. ('X:' is the drive and '\folder\' is the folder LIERO.EXE is in)
8. All you should have to do is add ' /n' to this box
9. You should not need to change anything else
10 The 'Cmd line:' box should now be something like "X:\folder\LIERO.EXE" /n
11. ('X:' is the drive and '\folder\' is the folder LIERO.EXE is in)
12. Liero should now run under Windows XP!!

What this does is turn the sound off. For some reason this will let you play liero under Windows XP. The only problem is that you don't have sound, but thats not a big deal, right? Now enjoy Liero on you Windows XP box!

Do your files have viruses in them?

NO!! I hate viruses. I have had many problems with them... I am running Norton Anti-virus with the latest virus definitions, and I scan all files for viruses before putting them on my site. If you are running Windows XP it might seem like Liero is inffected, but it is NOT. To run Liero on Windows XP see "How do I get Liero to run on Windows XP?". You would be surprised how offten I get asked if my filees are infected with viruses. I am proud to say that my files DO NOT have any viruses in them!

Will Liero run on a Mac?

There is no simple answer to this question. I am not using a Mac. If you have a DOS emulator for your Mac it might work. I have not tested Liero on a Mac.

Will Liero run under Linux?

Yes, if you have a DOS emulator. I have Liero running on my Mandrake 9.0 system with the DOSEMU DOS emulator. You can get DOSEMU at http://www.dosemu.org. Liero run slower under Linux for me (I'm using a 566MHz CPU and DOSEMU on a Mandrake Linux 9.0 system), but if you have a fast CPU it should work fine.

What are the hardware/software requirments?

HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum:
386SX
VGA video card + monitor
560kB free conventional memory

Recommended:
486 or better
VGA video card + monitor
560kB free conventional memory
Sound Blaster or 100% compatible sound card
760kB free XMS memory for sound effects

Liero will run on a system running DOS 6.2 and possibly even DOS 3.x. Liero can be run under DOS x.x, Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP (with some help...), Linux (With a DOS emulator), possibly a Mac, and possibly even other OSes (like FreeBSD, UNIX, etc.)
