bazooka
Good for all around combat, but there are better weapon choices.
big nuke
Great for clearing an area. Sometimes, when I play, I enjoy combat in large open
areas. Big Nuke helps make those. Walk up to a wall of dirt, and fire it right into
the wall as a sort of "charge" then run. Also effective when an enemy is in an
enclosed area. Just lobbing them is fun, but not terribly effective
blaster
sort of useful. Too erratic to be a great weapon. Can backfire sometimes. Can
be effective under some circumstances
booby trap
fun to set when enemy isn't watching. Although, usually, if it is a weapon
powerup, I personally wouldn't pick it up anyway. So, not a great weapon, and
can backfire if you forget where you put them :)
bouncy mine
too erratic to be useful. Very few circumstances call for the bouncy mine.
bouncy larpa
VERY erratic. VERY dangerous. Fire it from a little cave, high up. Can
backfire often.
chaingun
useful, deals out a bit of damage. It is neater then the other rapid fire
weapons, with a single stream of bullets. It lasts for a nice while too
chiquita bomb
good, if your enemy is in a confined space. But get out of the way. Also, it is
effective, but only if more then one banana hits your opponent. Make sure that
happens.
cluster bomb
too small to do any real damage. Not suggested, since it can backfire also.
shrapnel flying around can be bad.
cannon
useful in some situations. don't dismiss the weapon, although you can get better
ones. Also, the range is a disadvantage. The metal balls fall down and are
effected by gravity noticeably. For instance, firing them straight up is not a
good idea, because they will not reach the top of the board, but fall back down.
crackler
very erratic. good for clearing dirt, but that's about it. If your enemy is
in an enclosed area, go ahead, but don't be in there too. It can hurt you
as much as your enemy many times.
dart
not recommended at all. fairly useless. Fun to play around with sometimes, but,
harmless and dumb. It has a decent ammount of kick back, which allows you to
pull off a cool trick on level ground with your enemy in front of you, the dart can hurt
them badly by continually hitting them and pushing them back.
dirtball
I would not put this in your arsenal, since it is harmless, although sometimes
fun because it can be anoying.
doomsday
a definite all-around winner of a weapon. Great rate of attack and useful in many
situations.
explosives
some people don't like these. I think they can be very useful. The reload time
is the best part. You can just chuck them over and over. Although, many times they
also can backfire.
flamer
a good digging weapon. Lasts a long time, which is nice. It isn't powerful enough
to do significant damage, unless your opponent just stands there and lets you
attack.
fan
again, harmless weapons should almost never be in your inventory. This one
can be fun to play around with though. Pushing powerful projectiles away
can come in handy.
grasshopper
can be useful, but horribly erratic.
grenade
not powerful enough to be really useful. Not necessarily a bad weapon though.
greenball
yeah.. um, not useful, but anoying and fun to play with. Plus, it makes a cool
sound :)
handgun
can be useful. The laser site is nice (and once you have aimed, you can switch to
a killer weapon :). But if you are the enemy, and the laser site is on you, you
can line up your target with the line and use it to your advantage, too.
hellraider
powerful, but erratic. Still cool, though.
larpa
really great attack weapon. Hurts, plus you don't have to hit them exactly,
because those showers can really hurt. I don't recommend firing it straight up,
because you will get creamed by the downpour. These are fun to play with when
you are experimenting with the realistic physics in the game.
laser
I personally think that laser is a must. Laser is unlike any other weapon. It can
attack someone from behind a wall of dirt. Also, when you and your opponent are on the
ground, aim your laser straight ahead and fire. Laser is a weapon I always have.
mine
fun to use. They mix in with the ground, so, that's cool. They can hurt you
just as much as the enemy though. You can use them as a projectile too. Try hitting
your enemy by throwing mines at him :). Plus, they are fun against the computer.
missile
the guiding part is sweet, but it can be hard since it travels quickly.
Even if your good, you will not always hit them. Even when you do hit them, it
doesn't do a large enough amount of damage to be worth it. The load time is a set
back too. You can change weapons while in use.
mini-nuke
sort of useful, but why get a mini-nuke when you can get big nukes?
mini rockets
a well crafted weapon. Powerful, useful. Also, it sounds cool and looks neat. :)
napalm
not accurate enough (unless you practice :-), and does only an average amount
of damage. still cool though
rifle
useful, accurate, long range, pretty powerful
shotgun
useful, but why not use the super shotgun?
spikeballs
if you are the enemy, these are one of the most anoying things. Be warned though,
if you use them they can hurt you too, be careful. But they are very cool.
super shotgun
powerful, wide enough damage area to provide for small targeting errors. good
weapon all around.
uzi
cool, but I would choose the minigun
minigun
rip right through it all. Good for digging. Watch the kick back though. Prepare
to be flown across the screen from it's recoil. A cool thing one of my friends
does is, he ropes on to the enemy, then fires away. The enemy can't get away then.
winchester
like any other gun. Not the best, not the worst. Can be useful though.
zimm
too erratic to be really useful. But it does have some power behind it. If you fire
it straight into another worm, it can still be cool.
gauss gun
a must in my arsenal. Deals quick powerful death to people. All you need is a
fraction of a second to pop them a quick one with the gauss gun. Speed is a
big issue in Liero. Good players who are well matched come down to the wire
on who can fire off their weapons fastest. This one is great, because it
takes off a nice bit of damage in an extremely short amount of time.
rb rampage
the bouncing ammo is the set back on this one. I would choose the uzi or minigun
over the rb rampage any day.
