Validated submissions

A self-hosted .NET contact form backend I built for the websites I create and maintain. It handles submissions, email delivery, and notifications while each site keeps its own design.
Proprietary software · .NET 10 · ASP.NET Core · EF Core · SQLite · SMTP · ntfy
A contact form starts small, then grows validation, abuse controls, persistent storage, notification delivery, and administration. HappyContact takes care of that backend work while letting each website keep its own design and user experience. I built it to use in client website projects, rather than rebuilding the same backend for every site.
My own development-services website is the first real deployment. Its Go form forwards accepted messages to a local HappyContact instance written in .NET.
An ASP.NET Core API handles contact details, validation, and abuse protection before accepting inquiries.
SQLite stores submissions and per-destination jobs, so a notification is not the only record of an inquiry.
Background workers deliver complete messages by email and concise notifications through ntfy, with delivery status and failure handling.
An access-restricted admin interface manages sites, notification destinations, and received messages.
The public form stays on the website domain. The website server forwards the validated submission locally. HappyContact stores it and queues delivery before acknowledging acceptance; notifications run separately in background workers.
The production deployment also uses operator alerts for permanent delivery failures and encrypted recovery backups. This is self-hosted software, not a publicly available hosted SaaS platform.
HappyContact is handling the actual contact form on my development-services site. The production cutover verified a submission flowing through the Go form into HappyContact, where SMTP and ntfy delivery jobs both succeeded. The earlier Go database remains available for historical messages.
The live form is a working example, not a public demo instance or a customer trial account.
HappyContact is proprietary, not open-source software I built to power contact forms on websites I create for clients. If you need a new website with a contact form, I can include HappyContact as part of the proposed solution. Already have a website and just need the contact form backend? Let's talk about whether HappyContact fits your site and what integration would involve.
Tell me about your website and what you need using the contact form on my development-services site. Mention HappyContact in the subject or message. That very form is powered by HappyContact, so you can see it in action. Scope, hosting, ongoing support, and any recurring costs can be discussed based on your site.
